La prossima settimana la Dott. Giacomelli del Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München terrà un ciclo di seminari dal titolo Mathematics of Superconductivity.
The aim of this mini-course is to introduce the mathematical models used to effectively describe superconductivity from both microscopic and macroscopic perspectives. The first part will provide an introduction to the theory of quantum many-body systems. In the second part, we will discuss the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) model and the Ginzburg-Landau theory, with a focus on how phase transitions in superconductors can be described using the Ginzburg-Landau model.
