dettagli dell'evento

On wednesday – 12 february – room 3 – SSM, san Marcellino
15.30-16.15: prof. K. Grabowska (Univ. Varsavia)
“Dirac algebroids in Hamiltonian and Lagrangian dynamics – theory and
examples”

Dirac algebroid is a linear Dirac structure defined on the dual of a
vector bundle. We propose the construction of a Dirac algebroid associated
to constraints and use it as a tool for generating the dynamics from
Lagrangian and Hamiltonian. This tructure is very general.
It allows for all types of generating functions, including these with
magnetic-like terms as well as singular.

16.30-17.15: prof. J. Grabowski (IMPAN – Varsavia)
“Tulczyjew triples and quantum dynamics”

We develop a geometric approach to quantum mechanics based on the concept
of the Tulczyjew triple known from classical mechanics. Our approach is
genuinely infinite-dimensional and includes a Lagrangian formalism in which
self-adjoint operators are viewed as Lagrangian submanifolds associated with
the Lagrangian.
